Water Over the Dam

The Minneapolis Riverfront Partnership recently hosted a panel discussion with Preserve Minneapolis called Water Over the Dam, part of our Riverfront Vitality Forum series. Our guests, Peggy Lucas, Iyekiyapiwiƞ Darlene St. Clair, Dan Dressler and Neal Route, discussed the past, present and future of St. Anthony Falls from various perspectives: the Native American perspective, the industrial perspective, the recreational perspective and the economic perspective. Plus, members of the audience were given the opportunity to ask questions.

If you weren’t able to attend, we’ve compiled a summary of each panelist’s talk, plus an excerpt from the Q&A session. Also, you can listen to an archive recording of the entire panel discussion, hosted by Richard Kronick from Preserve Minneapolis. Special thanks to our sponsor, the Mississippi Watershed Management Organization, for their support of this event.
